What is Cognitive Training?Cognitive training is “exercise for the brain.” Relying on the belief that practice makes perfect, cognitive training improves an individual’s mental abilities in a wide variety of areas by engaging the individual in a series of activities designed to enhance mental capabilities. The Koi Academy offers a “computerized mental gym with mental exercise equipment” to achieve this goal. The system is designed to improve, remediate attention concentration, memory, hand-eye coordination, fundamental numerical concepts, and basic problem solving and reasoning skills. We work primarily with clients dealing with ADHD, ADD, learning disabilities, brain injuries, developmental delays, mental retardation, and psychiatric disorders. What is Captain’s Log?Captain's Log® is the most widely used, comprehensive set of computerized cognitive training programs ever published.
